This week we will be taking the test for the religion chapter.

Today we explore Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.  You can find more info on Christianity HERE, on Islam HERE, and Judaism HERE.

Today we worked on the notes to chapter 6 (6.1)HERE is a good website for World Relgion information.  HERE is another good website for an overview of World religions.  Make sure you can identify monotheistic religions vs polytheistic and can also identify universalizing religions vs. ethnic religions.  We will be taking the test next week so make sure you are preparing properly for it.  Don't forget you will be able to a 3x5 card of notes for the test. 

Today we took the test for chapter 5 (Language).  If you were on the field trip today you will take the test tomorrow.  If you were on the field trip yesterday you will take the vocab test tomorrow.  If you were present both days you will start working on the next chapter...RELIGION!

Today we completed the vocab mini summative for chapter 5 and tomorrow we will take the chapter test.  After the vocab test today we finished section 5.4 notes on multilingual states, lingua franca, and how languages can unite or pull apart a country.

Today we worked on 5.2 notes and gave out two worksheets.  One on analyzing maps showing language distribution and the other a review worksheet for Thursday's test.
