 1) What is Ethnicity?
 2) What are the main ethnicities in the US and where are they located (refer to picture on left)?
3) What is the difference between African American and Black?
4) What are the three types of African American migration?
        -Forced Migration
        -Great Migration
        -Expansion of Ghetto

World Cultural Geography-  This week we are talking about the difference between Folk Culture and Popular/ Pop Culture.   Folk culture focuses more on smaller, homogenous, rural groups and can mainly be found in LDC's.  Pop Culture focuses more on things that are more global.  They tend to be found in larger, heterogeneous, urban groups and can be mainly found in MDC's.

AP Human Geography- This week we are watching "Ghosts of Rwanda" video on the Rwandan Genocitde.  Thursday and Friday we are working on a preview worksheet for the next chapter.  It can be found on the assignments section.

World Cultural Geography- In class we will be going over the vocab quiz we took last week and working on where migrants are distributed and why they face obstacles.

AP Human Geography-  We will be going over 'Why migrants face obstacles?'  Within this section we will cover... Immigration policies of host countries, Quota laws, brain drain, Guest workers, and time contract workers, Types of Refugees, and Cultural problems living in other countries.

World Cultural Geography-  For the next few days we will be working on vocabulary definitions and examples for the migration chapter in preparation for Friday's vocab quiz.

AP Human Geography-  We will be working on going over "Where are migrants distributed?"  and why they are distributed there.  Within this section we will be looking at Global migration patterns, US migration patterns, Colonial Immigration patterns, Recent Immigration patterns, The Impact of Immigration on the US, the Migration Transition model, Undocumented immigrants, Destination of immigrants in the US, and Chain Migration.
